06/07 Season

Our annual play development program with a twist.  Launched last year with Matthew Ivan Bennett’s COLD, our SCRIPT-IN-HAND SERIES is a way for you to be directly involved in the creation of new plays by Utah writers.  We select pieces from the previous year’s SLAM that show promise as a full-length play.  We stage them with minimal production values (i.e. workshop production) with a focus on the text.  And, if we play our cards right, you’ll (almost) forget they have scripts in their hands.  A discussion with the playwright follows each performance during which you are invited to share your feelings about the play.
